so today, I was literaly sitting at home and playing basketball as I watched the brandon high sross country team run by. I came inside to cool off, and i recieved a text from my best friend mikela saying " OMG Mrs. Shettle is here!!" She ended up telling me it was game night, and that a lot of my elementary teachers were there. I couldnt resist but to ride my bike there. It may have taken me quite a while, not to mention I felt like I was roasting in an oven, but I made it. The first teacher i saw : Mrs. Shettle; 4th grade reading and writing class. Now this is the cool part: She saw me, and her mouth dropped about 3 inches. I'm not exxagerating. She flipped out. She put her hands on my cheeks and hugged me. " My 6 girl! I could never forget you!" She told mikela and I how she remembered all of our scores, and just the thought of such a caring teacher almost put me to tears. I loved Mrs. Shettle, and these past few years were scary because she had cancer I think, and we werent sure if she was going to make it. But now, she's up and running as a teacher again. Also tonight, I encountered Mrs. Johnson: 3rd grade science and mathematics, and Mrs. Holloman: 4th grade science and mathematics. I got lots of hugs. I also saw my old media specialist, allthough i never actually talked to her. And I saw my old assistant principal, who is now the head honcho himself. Go Mr. Shields!!! For the majority of the night, however, Mikela and I hung out with a friend of ours from Brandon High school. Zach Barnes. he was soooo flippin funny that I almost died from laughing. I almost choked on what i was eating. Zach is hilarious............... So tonite was awesome!! Much Much MUCH better that sitting alone at the house waiting for my mom to get off of work. Cant wait to see what the weekend brings!! :)
